Lady GaGa Performs John Lennon`s `Imagine` for Gay Rights
Lady GaGa has proven that she is totally aware of the gay rights. Participating in the Human Rights Campaign`s 13th Annual National Dinner in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, October 10, the "Just Dance" hitmaker took the stage to perform John Lennon`s classic song, entitled "Imagine".
Before serenading the track, the 23-year-old songstress told the crowd, "I`m not going to play one of my songs tonight. Tonight is not about me. It`s about you." Playing a piano during the performance, the singing sensation was seen donning a black dress matched with high heels and sunglasses.
Beside Lady GaGa, President Barack Obama has also been invited to come to the event. "I`m honored to be opening for Lady Gaga tonight," the U.S. president said before delivering his speech to the attendees.
The following day, Lady GaGa, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, was spotted marching and yelling for equal rights for gay and lesbian citizens in Washington, D.C. Heading to the Capitol along with fellow demonstrators, she was pictured waving a flag and sporting a pin that read "GaGa for Equality."
